THE ROLE
Knitting Manager for Jordan siteReporting to: Fabric Manager
The Knitting Manager is a senior operational role responsible for managing the knitting hall and leading large production teams.
The role focuses on achieving high efficiency, meeting production targets, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe, organized, and motivated working environment.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:
Main Goals
- Managing and leading the knitting team.
- Optimizing knitting efficiency and production output.
- Ensuring product quality and compliance with standards.
- Meeting production plans and delivery schedules.
Operational Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Full responsibility for executing production plans and meeting schedules.
- Direct accountability for production KPIs, including efficiency, utilization, downtime, and output.
- Identification and management of bottlenecks; execution of improvement actions (continuous improvement / OUS) according to plan and minimal lead time.
- Close interface with TPI, development teams, factory functions, and relevant stakeholders.
- Responsibility for knitting hall operations, including order, cleanliness, and proper functioning.
People Management
- Managing a large workforce (approximately 250 employees), including shift managers and section supervisors.
- Ensuring proper staffing, task allocation, and cross-functional support.
- Responsibility for employee training, professional development, motivation, and well-being.
- Enforcing discipline, work procedures, and professional conduct.
- Creating a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team culture.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensuring product quality and adherence to work instructions and procedures.
- Full responsibility for employee safety during work activities.
- Conducting safety trainings and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, work regulations, and safety procedures.
Warehouses & Interfaces
- Overall responsibility for the yarn (wire) warehouse, including supervision of warehouse managers.
- Responsibility for Leonard manager and privacy warehouse, including oversight of operations and performance.
- Ensuring proper inventory management, availability of materials, and coordination with production needs.
